Zoom Takeaway

Zoom Takeaway Inverness – An Absolute Last Resort
While I aim to provide fair and balanced reviews of all local spots in Inverness, Zoom Takeaway is one location I simply cannot recommend. Despite local reputations, I decided to place an order to give them a fair trial for this guide—unfortunately, the experience was just as poor as rumored.

The Pizza
I ordered a standard pizza, but it failed on almost every level:

The Base: It was incredibly soggy and lacked any structure or crispness.

The Toppings: Instead of traditional mozzarella, the cheese was a bright orange—possibly a low-quality cheddar. It was unappetizing and far from what you would expect from a professional takeaway.

The Verdict: After half a slice, I’d had more than enough. The rest went straight into the bin.

The Kebab
The kebab was even more disappointing. In my opinion, it shouldn’t even be categorized as a kebab:

The Meat: The doner meat was either extremely low quality or significantly overcooked/reheated. It was dry, tough, and lacked any flavor.

The Sauce: The “chilli sauce” was bizarre—it tasted and looked like a tin of chopped tomatoes with some chilli flakes mixed in, rather than a proper kebab sauce.

Final Verdict: Avoid
Overall, this was a very poor experience. Even if this is your only option late at night, I would honestly recommend skipping it. While I was fortunately fine the next day, the quality of the food is simply not up to standard. Save your money and go elsewhere.
