Jammy Piece – Scenic Spot but Mixed Delivery Results
Located right on the banks of the Caledonian Canal, where Loch Ness meets the Moray Firth, Jammy Piece is undeniably one of the most picturesque spots in Inverness for breakfast or lunch.
The Experience (On-Site)
When visiting in person, especially during the summer months, the outdoor seating is fantastic. It’s a great place to soak in the views while enjoying their fresh menu. The staff are consistently friendly and the ingredients they use are clearly high quality.
The Delivery Test
I recently ordered a full cooked breakfast for weekend delivery, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag:
The Food: While the ingredients were good quality, the long delivery time meant the food arrived less than fresh.
The Cook: A minor point, but the link sausages lacked any colour or “char.” If you prefer your sausages well-done, this might be a bit of a letdown.
Value for Money: At £13.99 for a full breakfast (before delivery fees), it felt a bit expensive for what was received. While the quality is there, you can find larger portions and better value elsewhere in Inverness.
Final Verdict
Jammy Piece is a “must-visit” for the location and the friendly atmosphere if you are sitting in. However, for home delivery, the value and portion size don’t quite hit the mark compared to other local options. My advice? Go for the view, but maybe skip the delivery.
